January 29, 2016 - 99th Day As An iOS Developer With No ExperienceFRIDAY - It's Friday again! Thank you Lord God! That's the good news, it's Friday today, the bad news is that, as most of the iOS Developers know, Parse is closing. Yep! 2017 January will be their last. I heard from my CTO that Parse is now being acquired or was acquired by the Facebook. Their engineering ideas are great, that's why.
Well, I used to hate the Parse because I thought they are the one who's being inconsistent in pushing notifications to the devices. I was wrong. I just read that Apple admits that the pushing of notifications are so much guaranteed to be received by a device. We are not even done yet with the project and now Parse is closing. The manager and the part time senior iOS Developer told me that we should just start migrating from Parse to another technology or whatever as soon as we finish releasing the beta release of the project.
